UAT Tester - London / Sheffield

Senior Business Analyst


The UK Mortgages team are working on a range of projects which will deliver significant value to our business. We’re looking for an individual who will assist our existing and growing Business Analyst team with testing these and future initiatives.

This is an opportunity for the right person to develop front to back knowledge of our lending business, gain skills in a number of different areas and become a valued member of our team. Reporting into the Senior Business analyst, the individual must be a personable self-starter looking for a challenge within an ever growing organisation.

Job Overview:

The UAT tester role plays an important part in our company’s IT change. Our ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting tests before any IT launches to ensure software runs smoothly and meets user needs. Ultimately, the tester responsibilities include designing, implementing and carry out tests script for our key initiatives.

Core responsibilities

  • Closely work with stakeholders to identify and clarify UAT requirements
  • Produce UAT test scripts and plans that demonstrate the business requirements have been met
  • Prepare test scenarios, test cases and test data based on Business Process
  • Execute testing and analyse the results; Report defects and manage them throughout their lifecycle
  • Lead business users throughout the scripting and test execution phases
  • Demonstrate results of test execution to business stakeholders for approval by producing UAT End of test report
  • Assist in implementing a business-wide change management process
  • Help foster a culture of continuous improvement within our organisation by engaging colleagues at all levels to identify opportunities for improvement

Skills & Requirements

  • Detail oriented, Logical Mindset
  • Minimum 2-3 years in a similar role ideally within financial services industry
  • Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans, cases and progress reports
  • High attention to detail is a must, with some previous experience that can demonstrate this
  • Good business judgment and a practical, common sense approach to getting things done
  • Strong time-management skills with a capacity to handle multiple and often conflicting demands
